For the adventurers in the family you can top it with witching hours at the Taufers Castle, a ride on the mine railway in the mining museum in Prettau/Predoi  or with rafting on the Ahr.

With the children fun program “The Farmhouse Gang” children aged 6-12 can experience wood and water and the variety of South Tyrolean agriculture with all the animals on a mountain farm in the summer. Tension and action for the whole family is guaranteed in the "Alpine Coaster Klausberg-Flitzer".

In the South Tyrolean theme nature parks in Sand in Taufers/Campo Tures and Kasern/Casere children learn in a playful way how the mountains originated and what’s about the plants and animals. On the Kneipp trail in Weißenbach/Rio Bianco (with playground) children lean the effect of water and also on the sun trails of the Ahrntal valley there are different playing opportunities. Little bookworms can rummage in the shelves of the public libraries.

Our family friendly companies in Ahrntal valley offer a family friendly ambience for a successful family holiday in South Tyrol and are looking forward to welcoming their adult and little guests.

Tips for a successful family holiday in the Ahrntal Valley
Taufers Castle
The particular homey character of the feudal Taufers Castle astonishes around 75,000 visitors every year. Children enjoy the Chamber of Armoury, art admirers the frescoes in the chapel painted by the Tyrolean Michael Pacher (abt 1435-1498), and romantics the appealing medieval atmosphere.
Copper-Mine Museum of Prettau/Predoi
For more than 500 years the area was a hub of copper mining. Today the mining museum in Prettau is one of the valley's main attractions and gives a fascinating insight into life working underground many centuries ago. The journey down into the mine on the original miners' railway is an experience in itself.
Waterfalls Riva / Reinbach
An impressive drama of nature is offered by the three Rio di Riva waterfalls which can be reached starting out from the hamlet of Bad Winkel. The Rio di Riva waterfalls are located in the Vedrette di Ries-Aurina Nature Park and offer an impressive view of nature above all else in the summer. Fed by melted snow, the Rio di Riva plunges in three cascades over the rock cliffs into the depths, making it possible for visitors to experience the power of water with all of their senses.

The St. Francis'Path with the 10 meditational spots lines the path of the Reinbach waterfalls up to the Franziskus and Klara chapel.
Water park Klausberg

Little (but also big) holidaymakers like to splash about in our “Waterworld” on hot summer days. Here, visitors of the mountain can unpack the swimming trunks and put their swimming skills to the test in the water world at the mountain station Klausberg. Part of the water world are swimming pools, bridges and the bear slide. A water world for the whole family.

Fun underwater: The Water world Klausberg guarantees fun for the whole family: Trickles, Klausi-Teich, bridges or pools are just a few things you can experience here: Swimsuit and towel are packed, so let´s have some fun.

While you relax, surrounded by clear mountain air, under the sun and forget about the everyday stress, your children can let off steam in the “Waterworld”. Time flies when you have so much fun!

The Klausberg Flitzer Alpine Coaster is Italy’s longest and most spectacular alpine roller coaster. Whether you are young or simply young at heart, the toboggan run at the Klausberg summit station delivers a nice kick of adrenalin to all thrill-seekers.

The coaster hurtles down for 1,800 metres, travelling at speeds of up to 40 kilometres per hour – you determine how fast you want to go: push the lever forward to give gas and pull the lever back to brake. The Klausberg Flitzer, known for its jumps and 360-degree spins, is something that you and your family will never forget.
Fly-Line

Betake yourself on a spectacular journey through the woods: swing your way through the trees soundlessly like a bird through narrow and wide curves, with small and big jumps back down to the ground.

Balance Parcour Klausberg
Sort of like a high ropes course and yet different. The newly opened balance-parcours at Klausberg will make you tremble. Here the little ones have the possibility of mastering obstacles in several different ways.

It all takes place at a safe, yet exciting level. This parcours is to be found directly at the water world. Here, skill and balance are required, but do not worry, nothing can happen. The obstacles are placed at a very low level in order to ensure optimum safety.
Dino Land Klausberg
Who says that history has to be boring?

Granted, when it comes to dinosaurs, it rarely gets boring, but nothing compares to the Dinoland Klausberg: Some of the popular prehistoric giants accompany you in life size on your drive through the Dinoland Klausberg. Caution: The tyrannosaurus rex is already waiting. Get your cable car ticket Klausberg and travel back in time. Triceratops, stegosaurus and co. are awaiting the guests.

In every village you can find at least one playground. Here children of each age class can find the right game. Running, climbing, building sandcastles are only some examples of what they can do. The playgrounds are equipped with climbing frames and slides.
