Lake Neves, also known as the Lappach Reservoir, is an impressive reservoir in the Zillertal Alps in South Tyrol. It's located at the upper end of the Mühlwald Valley, near the village of Lappach, and is surrounded by majestic peaks like the Hoher Weißzint, Großer Möseler, and Turnerkamp.
- Location and Access: The lake is situated at an altitude of approximately 1,860 meters above sea level and is only accessible in summer via a narrow, toll-bearing mountain road from Lappach. The road is closed in winter due to avalanche risk.
- Dam: The 92-meter-high arch dam was built between 1960 and 1964 and can be walked on during the summer months.
- Parking: There are paid parking lots. As of January 1, 2024, parking cost between 5 and 12 euros per day, depending on the duration, with a maximum of 40 euros per week.
