Hike to South Tyrol’s highest-altitude organic farm

With our hiking guide Otmar, we hike on foot to the highest located, year-round organic mountain farm, Biohof Kofler, in Rein. Organic farmer Irmgard will show us around the house and farm and invite us to sample her homemade products. Afterwards, we return comfortably back to Rein in Taufers.

Altitude difference: approx. 250 meters

On foot to the highest, year-round organic mountain farm Kofler in Rein. Organic farmer Irmgard accompanies the tour of the house and farm and invites you to a small tasting of her home-made products. Followed by a leisurely walk back to Rein/Riva.


When buying the reduced ticket, the valid Südtirol Guest Pass Holiday Region Ahrntal valley must be carried, otherwise the difference to the standard price must be paid.

By bus:

Bus stop: Rein in Taufers/Riva di Tures, Unterstatt

• Line 450 from Bruneck/Brunico to the bus station Sand in Taufers/Campo Tures

• Line 450 from Kasern/Casere to the bus station Sand in Taufers/Campo Tures

• Continue with the line 452 to the stop Rein in Taufers/Riva di Tures “Unterstatt”

• From here it is a 5-minute walk to the parking lot.
