Together for Cleaner Mountains!
Looking for a day outdoors that's both fun and meaningful? On Saturday, 19 September 2026, Consortium Zukunft Ahrntal, Protect Our Winters Italy, IDM South Tyrol, The Summit Foundation, and hiking guides Johannes Rudel and Marco Zema invite you to join the CleanUP Hike Ahrntal valley.
Together, we’ll hike through the stunning mountain scenery around Kasern towards the Kehreralm, collecting litter left behind along the trail. It's a simple but powerful way to protect our natural environment and show how everyone can make a positive contribution.
The two hiking guides will accompany the group throughout the hike and provide fascinating insights into the alpine environment, as well as the local flora and fauna. Afterwards, participants are invited to stop for refreshments together at the Kehreralm. Once we’ve refuelled, we’ll move on to a workshop where we’ll analyse the rubbish we’ve collected together. We’ll look at the different materials and their impact on the environment, and brainstorm ideas for possible solutions.
