Lenkjöchl Hut
The highest point of one of the most beautiful circular hiking trails of the Tauferer Ahrn Valley!
This hut is an impressive, high-Alpine refuge hut towards the end of the Ahrn Valley, westerly from the Rötspitze, right beside the so-called Judenlacke just above the Lenkjöchl, between the Röt Valley and the Wind Valley. The longhouse-like building (built by the DÖAV section of Leipzig) is the ideal starting point for climbing the Rötspitze and Dreiherrenspitze mountains. It is also the perfect link to the Clara Hut (Austria) and for a round tour of the Windtal-Röttal valleys. The comfortable ascent through these two valleys and the impressive panoramic views of the ragged glacier peaks of the Rötspitze offer an additional high-Alpine experience to the hiker.
