Edelraut Hut

The hut is situated on a saddleback with the same name, which is also the link between the Pfeifholder Valley  (end of Mühlwald Valley) and the inner Pfunder Valley.  The hut was built by the Austrian Alpine Association in 1908  (section Edelraute in Wien) as a one-storey wooden building.  It was taken over by the Italians after WW I.

In 1950, it was re-built after it was partly destroyed during WW II.
Today, it is owned by the CAI section of Brixen.  The relatively small building offers 40 places to sleep.  However, there is also an annex available in order to cater for more overnight stays.
